A new forum for past pupils of the North Monastery CBS in Cork City, Ireland has recently launched. The Mon, as it’s better known, is fast approaching it’s Bicentenary. To put it another way Napoleon was massing his ‘Grand Armee’ on the border with Russia in the same year the Mon opened.
So we are looking to finding the 1000’s of past pupils of the Mon to help us celebrate. The site has over 300 pictures of the Mon, some dating back over 100 years, with more added regularly. There is also a very active forum where Mon boys from allover the world chat about the good old times hanging around the “Lodge” and playing hurling up the Mon fields.

The response to national disaster is great but it’s a damn shame that so many citizens take advantage of the sad situations.
I mean everytime there is an earthquake, a flood, an oil spill – there’s always a group of heartless people who rip off tax payers.
This is in response to reading that 4 of Oprah Winfreys “angels” got busted ripping off the system. Shame on them!
