Glasgow Airport Parking Consistently Cheapest in Scotland
A survey of Scottish airport parking charges throughout 2009 has shown that prices at Glasgow’s busy international airport have been consistently the cheapest in Scotland.
Glasgow airport parking charges have been as much as 40% cheaper than parking prices at other busy Scottish airports. This is great news for Scottish travelers who have contributed toward the increase in the number of passengers using this busy airport to over 8 million a year.
A spokesman for Glasgow airport said: ‘We are pleased to hear that our airport parking prices are the best in Scotland as we are constantly striving to provide the best value for money passenger services possible.’
Edinburgh airport parking charges were very close to those available at Glasgow but Aberdeen airport parking costs were found to be significantly higher than those available from both Edinburgh and Glasgow.

An advisor from a well known airport car park operator reminded travelers: ‘It is always wise to book your car parking space in advance as this will always give you the best deal possible.
Also, if you have an early morning flight, you should consider booking a hotel room for the night before as many hotels provide secure parking included in the price of the hotel room’.
The economic downturn has hit the travel industry very hard but this has meant there has never been a better time to get some outstanding travel bargains. If you are flying from Scotland and you plan to take your car to the airport then Glasgow looks like the most economic option.

Glasgow is currently recording just over 7 million annual passengers, not 8 million as stated.
It’s difficult to imagine that parking charges between Edinburgh (9 million annual passengers) and Glasgow differing, given the airports have the same owner.
